The purpose of deploying regional coordinators is to improve the continuum of services regarding abuse by favouring partnership among the institutional, community and private players.
Their mandate is to:
- produce a portrait of abuse in their region, identify the resources and services available, and establish a diagnosis of the different issues and challenges;
- develop a regional action plan adapted to the reality of the community, in collaboration with the partners;
- encourage concerted action to improve the effectiveness of prevention, identification and intervention regarding abuse.
